Put on your headphones, open your curated journal, and prepare to immerse yourself in the experience of Paper Moon’s Spoon River Anthology…
About the Production
‘Spoon River Anthology’ is a collection of poems written by Edgar Lee Masters and Paper Moon’s production is an adaptation of those poems, centering Minerva Jones, the poetess, who guides you through the twists and turns of the people and the lives of the town.
The cast recording will be accompanied by Michael Freeman’s original music, as well as a physical journal that is being posted to all ticket holders.
The journal is full of different artistic responses to the poems by a fantastic crew of artists who have sat with the actors in rehearsals and listened to the accompanying music. It really is an interdisciplinary production that was born out of a love for the way different artistic mediums can work together to ignite the audience’s senses! It’s an event, which, due to circumstance, must be listened to individually, but it will bring us all together at the same time, on the same night to sit up, to listen to, and to see the stories of Spoon River and its inhabitants. We hope you enjoy it!
